Re: Gendry theory

No, its purely fan service, they said as much in the inside the episode on HBO. Instead of having Davos sit by the boat and twiddle his thumbs, he can go find out what happened to Gendry, and set up some more inside jokes/banter with Jon and the Brotherhood. He is basically another Brienne, someone ...

Re: To watch or not to watch

I watched it because I already knew generally what was going to happen and just wanted to see the story visually, but if you truly have no idea what will happen, then I would suggest watching as you normally do.

Re: Season 7 Pacing

Besides the money issue, which I have already commented on, I do get the feeling that D&D are over it and want to move on. They have spoken about wanting to move onto other projects for the last year or two, spend time with family, etc., so they don't seem as dedicated to the show now as when they w...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

it would have been better if Dany decided herself to go Beyond the Wall and would have made more sense given her previous conversation with Tyrion. I was thinking exactly this. I fear they have rushed this season despite HBO begging them to produce more episodes. The fault for this lies squarely on...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

In the promo pics Sansa is reading a scroll while Brienne looks on. Was that from Cersei requesting everyone go to KL for the armistice? Shouldn't Cersei wait until she knows the Wight expedition was successful before sending for everyone? Sounds premature Yes and Yes :) That scene should probably ...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

I completely understand where this conflict between Arya and Sansa is comming from and I really don't think it is forced. GRRM himself said that they will have to resolve some things between them. This is it. I mean, Arya didn't have a good relationship with Sansa before. She betrayed her for Joffr...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

I don't want to read all the spoilers/responses but is it really a disappointment? To me it was, to others it was not, so you can make up your own mind when you see it. Best way I can describe it was it felt kind of like a movie version of a generic start trek episode, and very predicable...the one...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

I really liked this episode. My only 3 puzzlement were: 1. How did the Hound recover so well from that massive leg injury? 2. I don't care if he is magic, the NK throwing a spear upwards at that velocity from a standing position at a moving target is a bit much. Then totally miss Drogon. 3. I would...

Re: ONLY for those that have seen S7E6 - Disappointed?

Bloody good episode. I watched three times back to back and I'm not in the slightest disappointed in it. The Winterfell scenes were very well written so that criticism strikes me as odd as well. You might have problems with the plot there which I agree seems a bit domestic when you consider the cha...
