Re: Jon's Claim
True. But only for the viewers. I just hope they handle the Big Reveal to the characters in a believable way. So far, it is only for the viewers! However, this gun has been hung & has to be fired. The question is: will people believe it? Will they accept the annulment? Of course, this could all be ...

Re: Gendry theory
As much as I believe that this show is not about shipping, I think Gendry might be back as a love interest for Arya. "Shipping" is part of character drama, and this is a character drama. Moreover, this coupling was foreshadowed in the very first episode. So, it shouldn't shock us too much. Moreover...

Re: The winds of winter release date
And seriously, stop pretending you won't all read it as soon as it arrives. Well, after the show ends, the series is going to drop off of a lot of our radars pretty quickly. It also will fall off of the radar of popular culture pretty quickly. A lot of people who now watch the show religiously migh...

Re: Gendry theory
They need a blacksmith at DS to make dragonglass weapons at the source. Davos remembered him as a good one, so he decided to look for him. They would need fletchers and spear-makers, not blacksmiths: those are the people who make weapons with obsidian heads to them. My hunch is that unless Sam disc...

Re: Euron as valonquar
Valonquar is like prince in Valyerian. It's not gendered. It could therefore be either a little brother or a little sister. The prophesy doesn't say "your" valonquar but "the" valonquar. I don't think that there is any indication that Valonquar means "sibling." They got the "prince/princess" bit fr...

Re: Euron as valonquar
The prophesy reads *the* (not your) valonqar. "His (or her) hands" almost certainly eliminates Jaime. Besides Euron, there are plenty of younger sibs who may want or need to strangle Cercei, starting with Tyrion and Arya; then there's Theon, Sandor and even Dany (naah…). "Brother" means only males ...

Re: Howland Reed?
Note that I said "within living memory". Perhaps I should have made it clearer by saying "the perceived purpose of the Wall". My point stands. This gets forgotten all of the time. The Walkers had not been a threat in thousands of years: at the time of this story, opinion is divided as to whether Wa...

Re: Howland Reed?
As far as I can tell, the fan theory that Lyanna had twins and that Ned and Howland each took one (Jon and Meera) is still possible. So Meera might have more than a named sword and a strong back to add to the story. Personally, I love to see it happen - just to screw with the Sullied and Unsullied ...

Re: S7 E3 The Queens' Justice: Thoughts
Nothing of this can be done stealthly. What we have here is a monumental failing of the Intellegence. Either the spy net of Varys had been broken completely during his absence from Westeros, or he's not telling what he knows diligently enough for some reason. I think that it would be quite easy to ...

Re: Howland Reed?
As the Lord Commander, he gave himself permission! 8-) Donald Trump certainly would agree with this idea! How so? Raeghar was married with Elia Martell (and had kids with her, so it was a consummate marriage). Westeros don't accept poligamy. Nor the Faith of the Seven, nor the Old Gods. F...
