I don't want to read detailed spoilers for this one, but with it being over 80 minutes, does everyone get good closure/screen time?

Everyone seems to get a good amount of screen time, though I am unsure about Bran and Sam. We don't have ALL the scenes outlined yet. They will be in the episode though. :)

They could have killed off a lot more characters this season. The whole of season 7 just looks like filler. Littlefinger is the only important character who will die. They did not need so many side characters to survive this season. They have made a few strange choices for this season, it doesn't leave one with much confidence for the ending.

But we'll see how this plays out on screen, at least some of us are now prepared for the worst.

I'm convinced the show wants to keep Cersei around as long as possible, so her death may be the "big ending" to the series. That disappoints me because I think she has little to offer anymore and the real fight should be against the white walkers (we've seen vicious tyrants ruling before, so Cersei is nothing new). I may not like it, but I've resigned myself to it.

How I think it will play out is the white walkers will make their way to Winterfell, where the final battle will take place. But coincidentally, Cersei's Golden Army will also arrive there to take back Winterfell and kill Sansa, because Cersei is obsessed with killing her. It might enough to bring Cersei herself up north, or maybe she flees King's Landing for another reason. But I really think everything will come down to Winterfell in the last episode. And that's because the tv show consistently plays up the importance of both Cersei and Sansa -- more so than the Night's King, or even Dany or Jon.

Having Cersei, Euron, Jaime, Gregor in S8 is what will make that season interesting. Jon and Dany together fighting the WW is too simple as a conclusion to this story.

Killing them in S7 would kill the show, just like killing Jon or Dany at this point would..

This sounds like it would be very possible. Winterfell was where everything started, so to have it end there makes a lot of sense to me.

I really want Danny and Jon to sit on the iron throne. With Jon's real name and heritage now in the public domaine, people will naturally give their support to both their claims to the Iron Throne. I think Jon would act as Danny's consort as he is closer to the common people because of how he was raised and the trials he's faced over the whole 8 seasons. Danny would/will make the better ruler of the two, as she has the strength and determination to do whatever is needed to protect the throne and the people of her kingdom.

I think we will find out that Danny has become pregnant and it was a lie said by the witch (I think it's the witch she burns that tells her she is now barren?) to spite Danny for what she was about to do to the witch (burning her alive). I'm a real sucker for a happy ending to happen and I think this will be the difference between the books and TV show. RR Martin is bound to write an ending which has a similar situation, but the price that is paid to achieve it will be really high and there will be so many more savage deaths.

I thought "The Hound" was bloody funny as hell in this episode. The way he handles the white is comical and gave some much light relief in such a tense episode.

At the end Danny finally see's Jon scars and she realises he was stabbed in the heart. They were both very tender with each other and it's obvious even to a casual watcher that there is going to be some action between the wolf furs on a bed sometime soon. At least she now knows the Wights / Whites or however it's spelt is all true.

It's wights and white walkers, they are two different species.

It's not a lie: death pays for lives. She has the dragons because Rhaego and maybe also Drogon died. Now one dragon has died and in the future probably the other dragons too, she will will have a child again. And Jon is not a normal man, he is half Targaryen.

That's my view as well. The dragons were born of blood magic where there is a price to pay. Dany's dragons were hatched but paid for by the lives of her husband, child and Miri Maz Duur. Three lives for three lives - that is the price. If Dany is have any chance of becoming pregnant again, one or all of the dragons must die.

Her pregnancy will parallel Cesei's perhaps. But where as Cersei's will ultimately end in something tragic or awful, Dany's child will be something positive.
