Yeah her hair and whole situation shows her loss of motherlyness, her redeeming quality. The last time we saw a bit of that love was when the boat came back from Dawn. She ran to shore with glee and sweetness. Then the light dropped from her eyes. It's been a gradual change and I think they did it well
