I don't live in Birmingham but if there was an afternoon showing of the play I might have been able to get back to my hometown while public transport was still running. I have overnighted at Birmingham New Street Station some years ago and it's not necessarily something I want to repeat.
It's ridiculous, isn't it? I live less than 100 miles from Birmingham, about 90 minutes drive, but going to an evening event there by train is not an option as there's nothing after about 10 pm. Same applies to other major cities within a similar distance. The only exception is London which does offer a train after midnight (but not on Saturdays!) and it's a stingy three-carriage effort which is always jam-packed.

I'm going to have to pass on that play, GrandMaester. It will be showing in Manchester but the tickets were very expensive I thought and only about 4% were left and the other venues were too far away or difficult to get to. Still, maybe there will be a revival sometime.

I'm not really a fan of horror but came across this interview with a couple of actresses from The Nun and see that Charlotte Hope (Myranda) is in that film. She's at about 1:10 https://youtu.be/9A7FKrNBhso

I've mentioned Jessica Henwick before but someone had done a brief compilation of some of her scenes from Silk where she played a pupil barrister (a little time before she appeared on GoT). https://youtu.be/iVJRampw9E4

Been rewatching 'Inside No. 9", currently on BBC iPlayer, and Conleth Hill is in S1E3, "Tom & Gerri".

Conleth Hill gets around does he not? As he has quite a thatch when he's not playing Varys I guess he is possibly not so easily recognised when he's in ordinary clothing. Going back to the 1990s a young Indira Varma was in a film called Karma Sutra. How true it was to the source material I don't know but here the sculptor is played by Ramon TIkaram (who played one of the characters Dario killed in "Second Sons"). https://youtu.be/mvWdOSJ7l2c

At 0.31 (ish) Jonathan Pryce can be seen fleetingly in the trailer from a few years ago for Return to Cranford. Tom Hiddleston played his son (though I don't see TH in the trailer). Not that TH has been in GoT but sometimes it's interesting to see an actor who later became reasonably well known in some of their early work.

A young (well younger) Max von Sydow in The Virgin Spring. I saw the film (which is quite dark - and not because it is in black and white, I'm thinking of its subject matter) on TV some years ago. I won't give the context because I don't want to "spoil" things in case anybody decides to watch the film ever. https://youtu.be/0_6hEwPsc88

Edit: I could have said the film was bleak rather than "dark" but I didn't have my thinking cap on when I originally posted.

A short documentary (minutes long) about what Laura Pradelska is up to recently (it's from October 2018 - I'm typing this in November 2018). The actress played Quaithe who doesn't look like she's going to come back into the show (the character did feature again in the books - think I can say that without it being a spoiler). She seems to be doubling as a DJ and appearing in a play in a small theatre. https://youtu.be/xcow57VRdJI

Craster (Robert Pugh) is in the latest TV adaptation of Vanity Fair playing Mr Osborne - stills in this linked Radio Times article and you have to scroll down quite a way to come to mention of him. https://www.radiotimes.com › News › TV

Edit: Autocorrect changed "Craster" to "Coaster"!

I can't find a clip with him (in that role) on YouTube but the late Stannis Baratheon (aka Stephen Dillane) plays Edward I of England in Outlaw King a Netflix film. I haven't seen it yet (don't have Netflix). I know some people who are familiar with both ASOIAF book Stannis and show Stannis feel that his adaptation was not done that well, but I didn't particularly like book Stannis to be honest. I think SD is a good actor though.
