Re: Howland Reed?

But in accordance with your other point, maybe it will come up again in a way that brings drama and it will all make sense at the end of the season or s8. Our stories are just conjecture. However, there is the concept of like reality unless noted ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LikeRea...

Re: Howland Reed?

I think the other northern lord just don't care. This is probably what D&D want us to assume. And really, we can tell each other any story that pleases us. The thing is, we shouldn't have to tell each other the story, we should be able to sit back and let D&D tell it. I think when you're tasked wit...

Re: Howland Reed?

I guess the North could be assuming that Jon is on detached duty, even when we know better. But if that is the case, I'd think it'd be worth at least one line of dialog to explain - even if it was something snarky from LF - just so it makes sense to the viewers.

Re: Howland Reed?

But also, what is the stop for the paradox of LC permission for the LC himself to leave? I don't think there's a paradox because I don't think the LC has the power to release someone from his oath. There's certainly no wiggle room in the oath itself: " It shall not end until my death " (and there's...

Re: Howland Reed?

I thought that, because the vows are until death (not the "end of time" or "the last day,") Jon was technically relieved of his duties, because he died. Right. We the viewers know that. But unless the North is aware of his resurrection, they've got to think he's an oathbreaker, which is a very bad ...

Re: The Long Night

What you say certainly makes sense but all the references I've seen describe the "Long Night" as the one particular event in Westeros' history. And that was both the WW and the long duration, not just the WW showing up. So I'm not so sure about Bran's words. Maybe it's just dramatic but sloppy writi...

The Long Night

As we know, the Long Night was a winter (or winter night) that lasted for a generation. During that time, the White Walkers first came south. Bran just said " When the Long Night comes again, I need to be ready". And I think the previous three-eyed raven said something similar. Since he used "when" ...

Re: Where is Septa Unella?

After their somewhat awkward first date, Unella and Gregor were able to overcome their initial shyness and soon fell in love. I believe they are currently on a honeymoon cruise to the Summer Islands.

Re: Howland Reed?

I've got no doubt that R+L=J. I just hated the way that D&D handled Jon's resurrection, abandoning his Oath by leaving the wall, and showing up with his Wildling army at Winterfell. The viewers know that it was all legit but the Northerners, who supposedly live in a society where honor is paramount,...

Re: Howland Reed?

Besides, given how much of Daenerys we've seen, there's not much space to put that birthmark. Her feet! We've never seen a close-up of her feet! Maybe Dany and Jon (and Tyrion and Meera?) have "Targaryan Toe"? :o As an eye witness, he knows that Ned brought a baby away from the Tower of Joy, and th...
