Re: Howland Reed?
I don't expect to see him. Why bother to reintroduce a character when the plot-changing information he has can just as easily be supplied by the Citadel and/or Meera and/or Bran? I just hope that there's going to be more to the Big Reveal than just somebody saying "Oh yeah, by the way, Jon's the leg...

Hope these don't have to be original?

Ice Dragon
With GRRM mentioning that Dondarrion is a "fire wight", I started to re-examine some of the other things we've already seen in GoT. I'm wondering if that mysterious mist that came down off the mountain at Hardhome is the "reality" of an Ice Dragon. From "The World of Ice and Fire" by way of the wiki...

If he's right, that's pretty depressing.

Re: End of Thrones.
When I've been thoroughly immersed in a fictional world, I'd like it to still be there, waiting for me to re-read or for new stories to be written. Even if the Game of Thrones story ends the way we think it will, there's still an enormous amount of room in the World of Westeros: Age of Heroes, pre-...

Re: Spin-Off Ideas
I just re-read GRRM's Not A Blog on the subject of spinoffs ( http://grrm.livejournal.com/?skip=10 scroll almost to the bottom ). Looks like there are five scripts in development, not four.

Re: End of Thrones.
My own speculation is that the human survivors will emerge from the wreckage to find there is no more magic in the world: giants, dragons, Children of the Forest are all gone, and Valerian steel is just really good metal. The Wall has come down too, as it must have magic to stand (ice melts under c...

Re: Religion in Westeros
If all the different gods are actually just different names for the same singular god, then it's even worse for the followers of the Seven. The various priests/priestesses of the other religions get real power thru their use of the other names. The Septons and Septas get nothing tangible back from t...

Re: Religion in Westeros
It depends on how you define "drowned" I suppose... If he actually died, then that would be a supernatural power bringing him back to life. But I was under the impression that he was only held underwater until he passed out, in which case he would have been revived using basic CPR/water drainage me...

Re: Theories, Wild Theories, & General Lunacy
Dany also deliberately violated the rules of parley by killing the two Masters during the battle of Slaver’s Bay. Nowhere as bad as the Frey’s total disregard of the North’s ironclad rule on Guest Right in the Red Wedding, but not the work of any kind of hero either.
