I'm hoping the premiere doesn't open with Dany. S6 ended with Dany setting sail, so it would be kind of jarring upon a rewatch to see her sailing and then S7 open with her again.

Ok cool. Surprised the episode is titled "Dragonstone" and Dany arriving in Westeros is one of the biggest events of the entire series and she only gets 3 minutes though?

I find it surprising myself, however Dragonstone will also be used in another context.

The previous episode ended with Dany's Armada sailing for Westeros. Since it takes time to travel from Slaver's Bay of Dragons to Dragonstone, the early parts of S7E1 should be spent elsewhere. If S7E1 begins with Dany at Dragonstone, that implies nothing has happened in any of the other narratives during Dany's travel from Essos to Westeros.

I think there's some tension here between what works for the story and what works in terms of literal timing. Yes, technically like Cersei and Jaime should have a conversation and Meera and Bran should get to the wall before Dany gets to Westeros... Yet the thing we are all waiting for right now in terms of the story is for Dany to land on Westeros.

The show doens't always show events in order and if it works better not to in terms of serving the storya nd characters, I don't mind.
